Could lightning possibly strike twice????

Well, it almost did last night....For S&G (for those of you who dont know, that means Shits and Giggles) and a little coaxing from my friend Devil (Heather - http://nothingtoointeresting.blogspot.com) I logged onto PokerStars last night looking to build up some spending $$$ for Vegas and the WSOP (although now it has to be to pay for a plane ticket, thanks to the wonderful people at USAir), and figured I would play in the $5 rebuy tourney for an entry into the $160 Double Shootout to the WSOP (which is how I won my entry). I somehow ended up placing 4th place, getting $160 ($145 net). But, that was the only thing that was good that night. I ended up on the phone with USAir for a chunk of the evening trying to use a ticket I got from them last October when I got bummped on my journey to Las Vegas. (sarcasm on) Much to my surprise (sarcasm off), they had no "Transportation Voucher Seats" available on any flight from any airport in my general area (i.e.: Boston, Providence, Hartford, JFK, LaGuardia, hell, there wasnt even anything from Newark (no offense to anyone from that area). So now, I am going to have to pay my own way to Las Vegas for the WSOP. Is their no justice in this world?????!!!??!?!?!? On a side note, congrats to my boy OJ (Lawson) for winning two big multitable tourneys on PokerStars on back to back nights!!!

Introduction

Hello, I would like to introduce myself to the 'blog' world. My name is Aaron, and I am from Bristol, CT (yes, home to the worldwide leader in sports -- ESPN). I am in my mid-to-late 30's, single, and a network engineer for a small but growing MSO based out of CT. Wow, the more I write this, the more it sounds like a personal ad, which this is not supposed to be. You can expect to find some odd ramblings, with no structure whatsoever, or whatever else happens to be on my mind that day. Also will be a lot of poker related posts, or bad beat stories, or whatever else pops into my head at the moment I decide to write one of these things. So thats about all I feel like sharing for now, but tune back in from time to time to see what else I decide to post! Please feel free to make criticisms, poke fun at, or outright ridicule me. It doesnt hurt if you actually have something intelligent to say (although I am not guaranteeing that I will be able to live up to that task, so bear with me).
