Had a few days to reflect on my experience at Foxwoods. Also realized that my table was a little tougher than I had thought. Besides JC, there was Gene Todd, WPT Finalist at the Mirage, and Chris Fargis, another strong poker professional, who has a blog (which I have read and enjoyed from time to time), http://twentyoneoutstwice.blogspot.com/
All were definitely a pleasure to play with, and I didn't get the "I am better than all these people" vibe, which was a pleasant surprise. This was my first time playing with any big name pros, and I think I somewhat played well, I definitely didn't embarrass myself. I do know that I have a lot to learn about the game still, and that will probably be the case for the rest of my life. But that is one pursuit that will be a pleasure to spend time on.
After chatting with my poker "coach" about the hands that I lost, I felt better about how they went down. Not about losing them mind you, but about the fact that I probably lost the minimum I could have. Thanks Michael, your advice was a great help, and next tournament I make, I will be back for more advice.
I also want to thank my friends and family that have been supportive and understanding in my involvement with this "hobby" and for their continued support.
Enough babbling for now.
Type at you later!!!
